Rich History
St. Kitts was colonized by Sir Thomas Warner in 1625 and Nevis in 1628. For some time both islands formed part of the British Leeward Islands grouping with a Governor based in Antigua.In 1882 the islands of St.Kitts, Nevis and Anguilla were joined administratively one colony. In 1967 the colony of St.Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla gained Associated Statehood,a half-way -house to full independence.In 1980, Anguilla was formally separated from the Associated State and in 1983 St Kitts and Nevis gained its independence as the Federation of St.Kitts-Nevis.
